Shameless plug: the RouterJockey store is back

So… the merch store is back. Don’t act surprised.

For those of you who don’t remember, back in 2015 I ran a “PCAP or it didn’t happen” Teespring campaign that somehow turned into an actual little storefront. It was a fun run, and I’m still grateful to everyone who bought a shirt (or three) along the way.

I’ve brought the store back at shop.routerjockey.com, and the goal this round is simple: step the quality up a notch from last time. Fewer products, picked more carefully, with materials I’m actually excited to ship. We’ll see how I do.

Here’s what’s up for grabs right now:

  • The classic “PCAP or it didn’t happen” t-shirt. Two designs, because you can never have too many ways to remind a junior engineer that “I could see the packets on the screen” is not an acceptable substitute for running a capture.
  • The RouterJockey “Show me the PCAP” polo. For when the dress code says “collared shirt” but your soul still wants to be passive-aggressive about packet captures.
  • A “PCAP or it didn’t happen” notebook. For those of us who still scribble IP plans, cable traces, and half formed topology ideas by hand. Typing them out somehow makes them feel less real.

More designs and products will show up as I go. If there’s something you’ve been wanting, or you have an idea I should steal, hit me up. Last time around, most of the good ideas came from folks in the comments or on Twitter. I fully expect that to be the case again.

PCAP or it didn’t happen…. The t-shirt!

Some days I don’t know why I do things… But last night I was playing around with creating a PCAP meme when my friend Josh Kittle said he’d be interested in a t-shirt like that.
